Amazon Games will publish Smile gate RPG’s Lost Ark MMO on February 11,2022

Amazon Games revealed that Smilegate RPG’s online game Lost Ark will launch in the West on February 11, 2022 on PC via Steam.

This massively multiplayer online role-playing game was released in South Korea in 2019, and will now debut in North America, Europe, Latin America, and Oceania. Previously, Amazon Games said in June it would release Lost Ark in the fall, but clearly that’s not the case.

Players who purchase a founder package on Amazon or Steam will be given groundbreaking access starting Feb. 8. The title is the second major launch for Amazon Games, which has struggled for years to publish titles and then eventually in a highly acclaimed New World MMO out the door this fall.

Lost Ark is a free online game from Seoul-based RPG Smilegate, with millions of active players in Korea, Russia and Japan. Amazon Games showed off the Lost Ark gameplay trailer on stage at The Game Awards tonight.

The trailer is the final installment of the Heroes of Arkesia YouTube series, and features in-game footage of fast-paced combat and nice environments.

In Lost Ark, players go on an odyssey for the Lost Ark title in many cities, castles and catacombs. The game has 15 unique hero classes with unique combinations of customizable skill sets, using the Tripod skill system that allows players to select and enhance unique combat skill attributes when it reaches a certain level.

Players will explode in dunes of chaos, go head to head in the realms of expert PvP, test epic spirits, raid against bosses big and small, and keep their own in the fight against the demonic legion for power and to reclaim the eternal light of the Lost Ark.

“We are delighted to bring Lost Ark to more of the world, and with today’s announcement of our launch date we are one step closer to the moment when players can experience the stunning world of the game and the exciting combat for themselves,” Christoph Hartmann, vice president at Amazon Games, said in a statement. “In February players will be able to jump into the wonderful world of Arkesia for the first time and create an experience that is truly their own.”

Smilegate is the creator of Crossfire, a free-to-play shooter with over 670 million registered players and eight million concurrent players.
